Junior and Senior Choirs - Mrs Fiona Coleman and Mr Trevor Schimke
There are currently 60 students in the senior choir from years 4 – 6 and 60 in the junior choir from years 1 - 3. The choir gives the children an opportunity to improve their singing skills outside the music classroom. They have an opportunity to read music, practice musicianship skills, sing in parts, have increased friendships and improved social skills. Children are invited based on the quality of their voice and pitch recognition rather than singing experience. The choirs rehearse before school and during lunchtimes weekly. They perform regularly to the school community and participates in choral workshops and events around Townsville including the Eisteddfod.
