Introducing “Chappy” Libbie Kutuzov

SU QLD chaplains, or 'chappies', provide spiritual and emotional support to school communities. They are in the prevention and support business: helping students find a better way to deal with issues ranging from family breakdown and loneliness, to drug abuse, depression and anxiety. They provide a listening ear and a caring presence for children and young people in crisis, and those who just need a friend. They also provide support for staff and parents in school communities.

Hi, my name is Libbie Kutuzov. I became the school ‘Chappy’ at The Willows in 2015 and I love my job!

I am here for all members of our school community. I am here to listen and encourage, not judge or preach. I aim to offer emotional, physical, spiritual and practical support.

I have always had a passion for working with young people and helping them to survive and thrive through the growing up years and the challenges that come with this.

I am interested in working with students individually and in groups. Please contact me if you have any questions.

Ways students might come to work with me: Self-referral, teacher/staff referral, parent referral.

I believe my role is not just as a friend to students but staff and students’ families also.
